FAQ
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Beginners may enquire and outline their current level, goals, availability and budget.
What kind of Arabic is taught?
We only teach Classical Arabic in order to seek knowledge and understand the Qur’an and sunnah.
Is it better to learn Spoken Arabic or Grammar first?
Both methods have their pros and cons. A student shouldn’t think that a method is better than the other, nor blindly believe posts on Social Media. The best approach depends on a student’s first and second language. For students who only speak English in the West, the best approach is generally to learn both Spoken Arabic and Grammar rules at the same time, and in a structured way. Further guidance on this topic will be covered in a future article.
Is rapid progress guaranteed?
No. Progress depends on consistency and effort.
How often are lessons held?
Lesson frequency depends on the student’s level, availability, study goals and budget. Some students may benefit from weekly structured lessons, while others may prefer a more intensive format. This can be discussed during enquiry. The key is to remain steadfast without burning out.
Important note
Arabic is a skill, and takes time to develop. Unlike some programmes, we do not promise rapid fluency or instant results.
Progress comes from:
- Sincerity
- Consistency
- Effort
- Time dedicated
However, it is important to note that benefits can be reaped from the onset of taking Arabic classes. Is it possible to become fluent quickly? Absolutely, depending on time and effort invested into studies. Can a regular student who only dedicates two hours per week become fluent quickly? Very unlikely. Can a teacher make magic happen? No, a teacher will only catalyse a student’s potential. Many a times, self motivated and disciplined students studying under a mediocre teacher will excel, and many a times, lazy students with excellent teachers stagnate.
To seek knowledge is a journey, it’s a marathon, it’s a lifetime endeavour to please Allah. Progress depends on consistency, effort, and approach.
More from our students
“This course is really beneficial, extensive and thorough. Not only I’m learning Arabic, but also English. The lessons are well structured, the learning environment is super welcoming, I never feel intimidated or scared to get it wrong. Ustad keeps us accountable while keeping the class enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back to Saudi Arabia with greater ability and confidence.”
-Khubaib Alt
I’ve genuinely enjoyed this Arabic course and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning the language. Arabic is not something you can simply pick up on your own, and having a knowledgeable tutor makes all the difference. His professional guidance, patience, and clear explanations have been invaluable, helping me build confidence and a deeper understanding of the language.
-Idris Akhtar
Great teacher, he has helped me go from 0 knowledge to a much better understanding of both vocabulary and grammar. He gives options for both relaxed learning and also stretch learning for when I have more time or energy. I would definitely recommend to others, and I have already recommended others who are happily learning. Just do it. The benefit from learning Arabic is immense.
